A white British man effectively lynched a young Black mother and her two children by pouring petrol through their letterbox and setting them ablaze. He was found guilty of murder today. Not America, Britain in 2023.
For some reason, Nigel Farage's banking woes are a bigger story
Delighted that my book, THE CULTURE TRAP, has been published by @OxUniPress! This ethnography centers and celebrates Black youth in London and NYC schools, and shows that the use of culture to explain Black students' success or failure in schools is not only tricky; it is a trap!
Exactly. The misconception that affirmative action meant unqualified people have been admitted into college solely because of their race was never true and is quite frankly an ignorant interpretation. Thank you @joyannreid for setting the record straight and sharing your truth!
Our students were such a credit to the school and joy to watch at @stpaulscarnival today! We are so proud of them! Listen to Deputy Head, Ms Leong, and Assistant Head, Mr Dunkley, give an interview on @BBCRB at 2:09:10 into the programme here:

He was an integral part of Bristol’s history 🚌
There was an applause at St Pauls Carnival to remember Roy Hackett - who was one of the organisers of the Bristol Bus Boycott.

Our Elder’s Brunch has begun!
Before every Carnival, we invite our Elders to come and break bread with us to thank them for their role in the community.
Lots of St Pauls legends here today as we celebrate this year’s theme Learning From Legends 🙌🏾

The WildEd group in Year 9 took a trip to the largest group-led restoration project in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park in Wales. Students learned about the work being done with farmers, conservationists and landowners to restore habitats and ecosystems.
Year 9 students had the honour of spending an hour with Bristol Bears team woman of the season winner for 2023, Holly Phillips. She explored her journey into rugby, including the triumphs and challenges. Students could ask her questions, and it was an incredibly inspiring event.
Join us for our Summer Sharing Concert on Thursday 29 June at 6:30 where our wonderful Cotham students will be performing. Tickets available on WISEPAY. See you there!
We're so proud that some of our students and staff are participating in St. Paul's Carnival this year. If you intend to support them at the event, please look after yourselves and each other. Click the link below for a useful guide for parents and carers!

A huge win for humanity today 🎉
The cruelty and violence of this removal scheme cannot be understated. We hope this decision, and the widespread resistance to these policies, signals a turning tide in favour of a more humane, compassionate approach to people seeking safety.
Bloody hell!! A moment.
Fiona Bruce “ Even though the majority of you voted Conservative…do any of you support the Rwanda policy?”
Not a single hand up…silence 👀
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall “ Good on you!” #BBCQT
The impacts of racism are real: race as a scientific categorisation is imaginary
Teachers of Colour experience racism when they’re young and again now they are teachers, especially if they are resisting racism at work
