Come and work with us at the Royal Brisbane! Fellowships available with some rather lovely people, learn cool stuff, and then go to the beach on the weekends. Come join us! https://t.co/ys1ts6W3ru
Jamie Dwyer delivered the only hockey gold medal that Australia has ever won?! Not sure about that....seem to remember there was another fairly decent Australian team around that time

‘A space with a soul’: it was a real pleasure to see the revamped operating theatres at Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children with the inspirational @alysonwalkerRHC who spearheaded the redesign https://t.co/ONVXxnoyXG
One of the best things about being a Brit in Australia is using colloquialisms that utterly confuse them. Favourite so far being my suggestion to box and cox with a colleague who had been booked a clinic in the same room. Raised eyebrows and the offer was politely declined.
Great meeting at ERS in Sofia with the perfect mix of science and culture. A society that is only going from strength to strength under the leadership of the one and only @SnotSurgeon
Just back from fantastic European Rhinologic Society meeting in Sofia. I am very honoured to become the Secretary General of the Society.
For those who are members - what can we do better?
For those ENT surgeons who are not -how can we convince you to sign up?
Final leg of a mammoth journey to ERS 2023 in Sofia. Looking forward to seeing friends, colleagues, and inspirational speakers for some cutting edge updates in Rhinology and also hopefully a little....
@UniofNewcastle@NIHRresearch@NewcastleHosps 11 years in the making, NATTINA has delivered definitive results. Adult tonsillectomy for recurrent tonsillitis IS effective!
Many thanks to all the participants and recruiting NHS centres.
A real team effort, led by the Newcastle Clinical Trials Unit.
Retired doctors are getting a 10.1% pay rise this year.
Working doctors have been offered 2%.
Can anyone explain why retired doctors are worth more than working ones?
Or, come to that, why paying this pension increase is not inflationary, but paying working doctors is?
@SnotSurgeon Gawande called this 'Revenge of the ancillaries' - reflects the fact AHPs were more engaged in software development than Dr. Suddenly things that were clerical tasks have snuck into clinic time - where is patient? Do they need an interpreter?
@wendysmithent@SnotSurgeon@fessdoc @otorhinosaurus I've sometimes found redcap a little unwieldy and hard to extract data from. Is that me being unfamiliar with it? I'd love something that ported datapoints across from an electronic health record automatically - possible?
How does everyone capture core data set for patients they see in clinic? (Snot 22 scores, eosinophil count etc). Surely there's a better way than manual entry to an excel sheet? @SnotSurgeon@fessdoc @otorhinosaurus
