Question: For those of you at R1 universities, about how long does it take you to get IRB approval for an exempt application (eg, survey on 18+ year old sample, nothing reportable, etc, just questions on media use and health behaviors)?
@DrSrivi Yes all these things! Makes sense. I always worry about yet another committee but I do think it’s important, if nothing else than to signal a strong commitment to research.
@DrSrivi Such good ideas!! I would also add an active mentoring program around grants. What do you see as the function of the active research committee?
