Spent some time this weekend digging into a bug in Dify
and ended up sending a fix.

Someone removed a member from their workspace, re-invited them later, and the person just got "workspace not found" on login.

Turned out re-inviting only re-added the membership for pending accounts, so anyone who'd been an active member before never got added back. Took a while to actually find why it only happened in that one case. The fix itself was tiny once I understood it.

Built a voice assistant that costs $0/month to run. Not cheap. Zero.

Voice normally bills you 3x: speech-to-text, LLM, text-to-speech. I did the whole thing on free tiers:

→ Whisper on Cloudflare Workers AI
→ Groq LLM w/ Llama fallback

→ Piper TTS self-hosted on 2 free Oracle VMs w/ failover

One Worker runs the whole pipeline + serves the frontend.

Fought Oracle's two-layer firewall, out-of-order iptables rules, and brutal latency on tiny free instances to get there.

Started building something I've wanted to do for a while: a distributed key-value store in Go, with the Raft consensus algorithm implemented from scratch no off-the-shelf consensus libraries.

I'm building it in verifiable milestones leader election, log replication, persistence, snapshotting, then chaos tests and benchmarks. Right now the foundation is done: an append-only WAL with crash-safe recovery and a single-node KV store.
