@TheMcGloneCode@libsoftiktok The majority of people involved, don't know, care or fully understand what is going on. They are just brainless terrorists. ~90% of them haven't worked a day in their life and are fully reliant on welfare payments. Most of them are known criminals who are just want to fight.
@CheersPal@gonortheast A bus driver is not a highly skilled job. A lot of jobs that are actually highly skilled are paid at ~£14/hour (way under in what they should be being paid). They were offered a very generous pay offer for their skill level.
@thebonnylad @UniteSharon@gonortheast It not only about how much a company has, its about what the fair wage is for the level of skill required for their role. ~£14.15 is a decent wage for a bus driver.
@thebonnylad @UniteSharon@gonortheast Yes, the fare wage for a bus driver. It shows that GNE are willing to pay their drivers the correct for their skill. The drivers certainly deserve a decent payrise, hence the 10.3%. If they want more money, the conditions of their contract should really be reviewed.
@thebonnylad @UniteSharon@gonortheast They offered 10.3%, a very generous offer. This shows they think a lot of their drivers. I would love for this strike to end but offering anymore is just greed. Unite have a lot to answer for.
@rachelq_ncl @4130chromo@gonortheast@My_Metro A 10.3% payrise is a more than fair offer. Their salary reflects the level of skill required for their role.
@KiMcGuinness@LizTwistMP@unitetheunion@UniteTyneWear@UniteNEYH GNE have tried. Nothing but greed on the drivers part. The offer was more than acceptable for their type of work. This is a Unite strike. Stop paying £70 per day and we will soon see how long they strike for. The sooner we get driverless buses the better.
