Abolition requires radical imagination. In no small part because we are, from childhood, constrained by carceral language, practices, protocols, at every turn.
As we welcome President @JoeBiden
+ VP @KamalaHarris,
we’re committed to justice.
231,000 women are incarcerated in the U.S.

100 women
in these 1st
100 days.
#ClemencyWorks

The asset-owning wealthy during normal times, as they shovel money into their pockets: Umm it's called a reward for risk sweetie 🧐🎩💰

These pieces rarely give credit to what video game "screen time" really means for kids: a chance to make friends, talk about problems, relieve stress, solve puzzles, brighten their mood, use their imagination - and, yes, escape, which we all need right now https://t.co/9xm86oNdWv
Extremely happy that I got over the fear of my kids having too much screen time a loooong time ago. It must be very stressful for people who are worried about it right now. Good games and shows and movies are life savers for being stuck at home.
if I was a child in the era of covid, I would simply throw out my video games, go outside, watch neighbors I cannot interact with pass by, reflect on the childhood I'm being deprived of by a society that does not care about me, and weep for several hours https://t.co/quXAPxD3Wx
I swear if Twitter had been around in the Industrial Revolution there’d be a tweet with 50k Likes like “if we can’t employ tiny orphans anymore, who will we send into the smallest mine shafts and between the sharp parts of the big machines???”
Georgia’s minimum wage is
$5.15 (subject to the $7.25 Federal minimum).
Nineteen states likewise have minimum wages of $7.25 or less.

(That has to be a heinous affront to God, if God were real.)
#DustinHiggs has been executed by the Bureau of Prisons. He was pronounced dead at 1:23 a.m. It was the 13th federal execution carried out since July & the most in any presidency in more than 120 years.
The death penalty is fundamentally a poor person’s issue. Over nearly 40 years of visiting death row facilities across the United States, I have never met a single person with money or resources. Capital punishment means “those without the capital get the punishment.”
