I actually don’t understand why people are furious at Timothée Chalamet. He has a point, even if he wasn’t eloquent. He's concerned about the future of film if people stop going to the theater. He doesn’t want to work in an industry that is considered antiquated.
I love Opera AND ballet, but I’m constantly seeing my local companies looking for funding. The fact is that in the broader culture, people don’t value Opera and Ballet as they once did. “No one cares about it” isn’t accurate, but I also don’t think he meant it how it’s being taken.
