Turbo cars hate traffic jams. A turbocharged engine is the wrong engine for stop and go traffic unless you maintain it religiously.
For those who don't know, a turbo is a small fan spun by hot exhaust gas to force more air into the engine. It spins fast and it runs hot and it survives on clean oil reaching it constantly.
Now put that in Kampala's crazy traffic. Short movements. Long idling. Oil changes stretched because the car has done few kilometres. That fan is cooking itself while you sit still.
If you drive a turbo here, change the oil by time and not just by mileage and also let the engine idle a bit before you kill it after a hard run. Turbo owners here, share your experience...
