#WATCH | Delhi: General Secretary, All India Bank Officers’ Confederation, Rupam Roy says, "The agreement of a 5-day banking had been signed back on March 8, 2024, but it has not been implemented to this day...regarding PLI, the understanding was to maintain the status quo...the PLI scheme involves a system that forcibly categorizes people into different brackets; major companies worldwide have abandoned this system because it is considered unhealthy and detrimental to employees. ...on August 12, we staged nationwide demonstrations demanding a five-day work week; the government then stepped in and mandated the payment of the PLI (Performance Linked Incentive) across the board, and the payment was indeed made. However, there is significant unrest within the banking sector..."
