Great post, love your work. Quick note however about Islam teaching an external locus of control. This is entirely a cultural thing.
The concept of the devil in Islam and its effect on people is mentioned as constant “whispers” of defiance of god, theologically this in no way invalidates an individual’s responsibility of those actions committed.
At the end of the day you are judged on your actions and your intentions despite the circumstances. From my learnings and experiences the outlook of individuals that adopt the external locus of control comes largely from a cultural place, this includes the scholars that preach in such manners to (god willed or the devil made you do it) ie it wasn’t in your control.
I think one of the beauties of how we think is rooted in self actualization and an ownership of one’s identity. From a young age we grow up believing we can accomplish great things and although this light is dampened as we grow up the foundation is still there.
Many cultures including ones where Islam is the primary religion have more of a collectivist approach on their lives and outsource their identities and actions to culture or “the way things are”
Anyways love the work, keep making us think!
@lizisamused Well I feel like this could also be used to support the argument that women will just drop you one day and move on, perhaps why men care more abt a woman’s past.
@coreyganim I feel like we’ve had this in the agency world for a long time no need “AI” in this process at least not in the traditional sense of AI services.
I built an app that does this for you!
Free to use with your own API (I will help you set it up DM me).
It’ll scrape all platforms based off keywords hashtags and accounts. Identifies outliers, engagement, trends and over all performance and helps you script content.
Happy to help anyone interested :)
