@City_Chief But there’s also “..certain of those factual witnesses had given evidence at the hearing that they knew to be untrue and so had been dishonest." That might increase the degree of others
Interview of Der Spiegel journo Christoph Winterbach on Football Leaks.
He found so many manipulations in the business that dissuaded him from being a football fan
Asked any positivity he found from the leaks, he singled out Martin Odegaard’s father, a shining light in the dark
@SamLee “certain of those factual witnesses had given evidence at the hearing that they knew to be untrue and so had been dishonest."
This one’s a tough one 😬
@B_Mkhontoorq@PoznanInMyPants@GuardiolaTweets Exactly. City shouldn’t have been jealous of clubs with greater revenues. They should’ve just accepted they didn’t have the same financial capabilities, right?
@cbzingustr@richarddeitsch “Small trade disagreements” is easy to say when your town wasn’t built around steel. Price undercutting meant lost bids, jobs and industrial capacity in real American communities. Criticize Trump’s response, but don’t trivialize the damage.
@DavidTaylorNYC@richarddeitsch Also….They did. NAFTA explicitly preserved U.S. anti-dumping laws, and the U.S. brought dumping cases against Canadian steel under them. There were multiple NAFTA Chapter 19 cases over Canadian steel. “Why didn’t they use NAFTA?” They literally did.
@DavidTaylorNYC@richarddeitsch The auto industry is a red herring. I’m talking structural steel beams, columns and girders. Canadian fabricators spent years undercutting U.S. producers; Commerce literally found Canadian structural steel was being sold here below fair value. NAFTA didn’t prohibit trade remedies
@cbzingustr@richarddeitsch Lmao isn’t a rebuttal. Quebec has literally subsidized aluminum production including discounted electricity through its state owned utility and direct government aid. That cheap power helped Canadian smelters overtake U.S. plants for decades. Shame lmao is your reply not debate
@dr_musgrave@adamboxer1 “Parental overcontrol refers to an excessive amount of involvement in a child's activities, daily routines, or emotional experiences” enduring task completion is parenting and teaching contingencies it will not lead to learned helplessness and it’s certainly not “excessive”
