@AObilana And who told you engineering is all about maths...
If you want to do maths, there's Mathematics department. Go and experience it first, maybe then you'd underatand. If you don't have the fundamental foundations you'll keep struggling...
Reminds me of when I was searching for my SIWES placement. There's no company/building I didn't enter around MM2 and the International airport.
Some even say you can't enter unless you have an appointment or referral.
Like bro, I'm just looking for placement.
Fresh out of NYSC that year, dedicated a week to job hunting around Ikeja. Entered every coy I saw.
Met an HR personnel I kept in contact with years after.
I went to Alausa secretariat. I remember someone telling me I can't just come for job search without 'backings from home'.
@uthmanmsk_ Yeah it was.
It is because when they are on a single wire, there is almost zero potential difference across their bodies.
But if they mistakenly bridge two points with different voltages, they will surely roast.
@Third___born Health is everything... I remember listening to someone say; when you're struck with a severe headache for just 10 minutes.. you would be willing to give up everything you have just to get better...
Alhamdulillah for the recovery.. welcome back brother...
And that's it, safe to scream ENDEX!!!
I wrote the final paper of the final semester of the final year for my first degree on July 15th, defended my FYP August 14th and now the result is out.
I can now call myself a GRADUATE...
Engineering no easy. No let them decieve you
Sometimes you just need to speak up and ask. You can't always figure it out all by yourself.
People were there before you, they passed through it so you can get the manual from them. There's no special reward for doing it the hard way all alone...
Spent the day at the KVV tradefair with a friend and realized something:
I don’t have that salesman spirit or talent at all.
Now I properly understand why you need a team if you want to go far.
Loyalty doesn't equate to you seeing the truth and claiming it is not. Neither does it mean you should support what is wrong or compromised all because it favours you or you owe them
At the end of the day, we only remember your actions not the reasons behind them.
Graduate school applications should be a full time job.
The time invested in researching programs & faculty, rewriting CVs, personal statements, cold emails, essays, recommendations, eligibilty checks... plus the actual money you'll spend.
The process is brutal and scary...
While growing up, we had only two major breakfast meals on weekdays:
- Pap and akara
- Bread and tea
We bought akara for ₦100 (11 pieces) for all 5 of us, and we were satisfied until lunch. The woman selling it already knew us, she kept our 11 every morning.
