@GrayConnolly He is also wrong. It would take three years, not two, for Labor’s tax cut to match the savings of the Coalition’s excise cut. Labor’s cut doesn’t start for 15 months; the Coalition’s cut will start strait away.

And after three years we are at another election with new promises.
