So, this is actually an "indefinite suspension". The bot that is in charge of Twitch TOS enforcement can't tell the nuances of human conversation and thinks that I was actually using hate speech against multiple people in chat (which I was not I was repeating a common joke during stream replying to someone else in chat). But because someone, even though they KNEW it was a joke, took the time to report it because they are white-knighting, I can no longer chat or stream.
What's worse is that the person who reported me has, not only admitted to doing it to myself AND others, but also admitted to hating the fact that the Streamer whose chat I was in ALSO makes those same jokes and "encourages that behavior". This wasn't me stepping over a line or , this was actually a targeted move against chatters in that chat because that individual hates the community.
What's worse is that this is my FIRST violation. I never have been suspended once before EVER. I know the rules of Twitch and although I might ride the line at times, I never strive to make jokes or remarks that don't have context or are not acceptable in the community that I make them in. And even then I'm careful to make jokes and banter in a way that respects everyone involved. But because Twitch TOS Enforcement AI doesn't understand human conversation context, I'm indefinitely suspended AND my appeal was promptly rejected. If there are any suggestions, please tell me so I can come back as soon as possible!
Today we're announcing two product changes for organizing communities on X:
1. XChat now supports joinable links for groupchats. Create a public link & share direct to Timeline. With support for 350 members per chat (and growing), Groupchat Links are the fastest way to bring people together on X.
2. Due to declining usage, we're deprecating X Communities on May 6.
To migrate your Community's members, pin your groupchat link so people can join it over the next 2 weeks.
This is part of our broader effort to simplify the experience on X. Make no mistake: we are investing heavily in niche communities with the launch of Custom Timelines—and much more to come.
