@benevolent_ia “That’s what I intended.” A soft chuckle escaped their mouth, then they pressed their face against his back. “You smell nice. It reminds me of the garden.”
Nael wasn’t planning on moving——well, initially. Talking to someone with your back facing them would be considered impolite, so they turned around with whatever effort that it took.
“According to this book,” they began, dictating a specific topic of a certain paragraph. “Someone talks a lot when they are nervous.”
“Are you?”
@1795s “Your lap is the only viable option.” A soft sigh barely made it past their lips as their attention slowly returned to the book——a romance novel.
“Then, I hope you can get used to it. I’d say it’s relatively comfortable sitting here.”
@sectuarist “I don’t accept guests off-hours.” And yet, despite their initial refusal, Nael stood up and gestured their ‘guest’ for a seat. The tea could wait. “But I’ll hear what you’ve got to say.”
“We are closed.” ——or so the doorplate said. However, Nael’s look wasn’t exactly happy with this ‘guest’ showing up inside the room. “You can come again tomorrow——or not. But for now, we are closed.”
