@SpydaMike1@bloomjpg What do you expect content creators to do to Show that they do genuinely care? I'm not asking this in bad faith, I just really feel like almost any action a Youtuber/Streamer could do aside from pivoting their entire online activity to activism would be seen as performative
@vnstxb@casius12334@fleshycurse@BGTheSnowflake@TheSleeepyShow i don't disagree with you, i think i'm just frustrated that so many people are willfully misrepresenting what should be an entirely uncontroversial statement and trying to use it as a gotcha by ascribing new meaning to it
@vnstxb@casius12334@fleshycurse@BGTheSnowflake@TheSleeepyShow nobody is contesting that?? his popularity is undeniable and that's all lud was saying. andrew tate was also massively influental (in a negative way as well). these should not be controversial statements, i don't understand how this is being misinterpreted as a co-sign.
@spysyragod@Linkers64@headphoneemoji the point you're making comes from a very parasocial pov. being part of a fanbase does not give you access to dictate what the artist makes. you can criticize or stop supporting if the artist makes things you don't enjoy anymore, but the artist isn't there to bend to your whims.
next time anyone says a piece of art is empty, hollow, soulless, etc just ask them why they feel that way. i have a theory that 90% of the time when people use these words in analysis it's because they're unable to articulate exactly what it is about it they feel is lacking.
@womkim_ @ASHLl___@fatherbeja that tinny high end in the vocal is 100% a mixing choice to make it sound like that, i feel like they just have a preset for the vocals they use on every song because it always sounds like that
