@thebradmontague I remember a chapel talk that you gave at FHU in 2006, and I remember how motivated you were back then. And you still believe the things you said back then. So I'd say one way to make a meaningful change is to continue to be the person that people think you are.
@kwoade You have some beautiful dogs. My labradoodle, a mix of 2 athletic water dogs, also hates rain and turns into a giant baby with every passing cloud. It doesnt even have to be raining. He knows exactly how to look at me with those sad doodle eyes to get his way. π
@The_Big_Quiet @rgummere I cherish the memories of when I was a little kid at my grandparents' house, and my grandad would take me on walks and out to pick blackberries, muscadines, and figs in his backyard. I don't know if anyone could make me feel as important as he did. He was awesome.
@kyledillonhertz "The Thing in the Forest" by A.S. Byatt and "The Bet" by Anton Chekhov. "A Flawless Silence" by Yiyun Li has flashbacks to 20 years in the past. "A Sound of Thunder" by Ray Bradbury has a time machine, and they travel to the past to hunt dinosaurs.
@ask_aubry My oldest would get so excited and do a big happy dance any time I ate something sweet, listened to music, or got up in the middle of the night. I loved that time we spent together, her telling me she was happy and feeling good. π₯°
