Betting on domestic drone production is the smarter long term strategy. Uniccon says it has the capacity to manufacture up to 3,000 FPV drones per month. Nigeria recently awarded a $200 million contract, through intermediary NIGUS, to a Turkish firm for 100,000 FPV kamikaze drones. There is little clarity on the delivery timeline or procurement mechanism.

With just a fraction of that funding, thousands of FPV Kamikaze drones could be sourced from Nigerian manufacturers and rapidly deployed to the front.
