Congratulations to @XavierBecerra. I am excited to offer him all the support I can as he sets out to become our state’s next governor.
This race has featured a large field with many strong candidates, and I am confident that our party will now unite behind Xavier and his calm, steady brand of leadership.
I have been fortunate to see firsthand how Xavier never shies away from the biggest fights, whether it was taking on the drug companies as Secretary of Health and Human Services or going after sex traffickers and big polluters as California’s Attorney General. I know as Governor, he will do whatever it takes to stand up to Donald Trump, defend our rights, and protect our communities.
I look forward to standing with Xavier as California makes history by electing our first Latino governor in 150 years.
Today is primary election day in Maine. A growing number of families in the United States and most throughout the world struggle to make ends meet. The least we can do is vote and vote to make a real difference!

Maine voters, let’s surprise on Tuesday! Only 2 CHANGE candidates on ME’s US Sen ballot. One with no government experience and admitted judgement lapses; the other, me with extensive govt experience in the US and abroad. To defeat Susan Collins rank me, Costello, #1!

Stronger US democracy, Step 1: end corrupting influence that MONEY has over our politics and government (e.g. actions: reverse bad SCOTUS decisions, ban dark $$$, strict donor limits, expand public financing, and mandate free media. Oth steps @ https://t.co/vrUS1jL1DC #MEpolitics
To reiterate, Maine’s US Senate race is not settled! ME’s DEM primary is next week. And I believe that I have the most fitting background and experience to defeat Senator Susan Collins and to help in advancing real, substantive change in Washington (https://t.co/vrUS1jL1DC)
LET’S DEBATE!!! Maine’s US Senate race is not settled and appears to be tightening. Maine’s primary election is next week and there’s still time. The cancelling of the 5 prior debates cut short important policy discussions and shortchanged ME voters. So, LET’s DEBATE #MEpolitics
It’s well past time we mended a broken Washington. Before Trump it was endless gridlock. Since Trump, it’s been increasing chaos, incompetence, and corruption. The fix, let’s start by replacing “concerned” senators like Susan Collins with REAL CHANGE advocates like me #MEpolitics
Brief bio: US Senate candidate David Costello who has the least baggage and the background, reform agenda, and experience to defeat Susan Collins. Money, press attention, and voter recognition won’t be an issue post primary #MEpolitics

Please retweet: My name is David Costello. I am a lifelong Mainer and Democrat running against Susan Collins. I too am concerned. I am concerned with endless decisions Susan Collins has made. We need to turn a page, retire Susan and take back the US Senate. Please watch and RT:
No surprises! Check out my solid background and reform ideas at https://t.co/vrUS1jL1DC. And know that fundraising, voter recognition, and press attention won’t be a challenge post primary (versus Susan Collins)...

Pride is joy. Pride is courage. Pride is a celebration. And Pride is the ongoing fight to ensure every person can live as their authentic self.
This month and every month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and all those continuing the fight for equality.
Happy Pride!

Dude, put your teeth back in, ditch that fake accent, and give that turkey back its neck.
You out here sounding like a bootleg wrestling manager from a country fair.
Bottom line: keep our MVP’s name out of your mouth.
Trump didn’t just pardon his followers who stormed the U.S. Capitol.
He’s now set them up for payments through a slush fund he created to reward his allies—out of your tax dollars.
You could not make this up.
What happened in the State of Tennessee was the largest and swiftest disenfranchisement of Black people that we've seen in at least a century.
It's on all of us to organize, mobilize, and participate in bigger numbers than their maps account for.
