The result? The U.S. got exactly what it wanted, massive attention for the U.S.
The decision to deny Omar Artan entry has sparked global discussion, making his name trend across social media and turning the issue into one of the biggest talking points worldwide.
Instead of fading away, the story has grown into an international headline.
Valentin Barco impressive last night for Argentina, got a goal, created, won ball back.
Was in the left wing back area and midfield, like Grimaldo under Alonso, can see it at Chelsea.
He outclassed Enzo Fernandez too.
🚨🗣️ Didier Deschamps: “Playing Kylian Mbappé as a center-forward?
I must be stupid, and there must have been a lot of stupid people among the coaches he’s had, for them to play him at center-forward.
He played there in the last 2 years at Real Madrid and in his last year at PSG. He’s been playing in a central position for 3 years now.”
Mbappe is the most hated and disrespected footballer right now. He’s hated by his club and country fans and everyone believes he should be benched for Olise and Dembele now. It is time to address this senseless disrespect.
🚨BREAKING: Mikel Obi says Real madrid President Florentino Pérez submitting 150M for Julian Alvarez and Atlético madrid making fun of them and Barca says alot about the leagues and also says 150M is "crazy" for a player who scored just "8 LEAGUES GOALS"
> "When I saw reports of Real Madrid supposedly putting €150 million on the table for Julián Álvarez, my first reaction was simple: that's a crazy amount of money."
> "We're not talking about a player who scored 30 league goals or completely dominated the season. We're talking about a player who, according to the numbers people keep quoting, scored only eight league goals."
> "That's why Atlético Madrid's reaction tells you everything. They weren't rushing to negotiate. They were practically laughing at the idea of letting him go."
> "And honestly, I don't blame them. If your rivals show up with that kind of money, the first thing you're thinking is that they must be seeing something nobody else sees."
> "What makes the whole situation even more interesting is what it says about Spanish football right now."
> "Barcelona are trying to strengthen, Real Madrid are trying to strengthen, and Atlético Madrid suddenly find themselves in a position where they can reject massive offers without blinking."
> "That tells me the balance of power in La Liga is changing. A few years ago, some clubs would have accepted that money immediately."
> "Now you've got Atlético looking at €150 million and basically saying, 'Thanks, but no thanks.' That's a statement in itself."
> "Whether the offer is real or not, if football has reached a point where €150 million is being discussed for a player with eight league goals, then the market has completely lost its mind." — Mikel Obi
🚨 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍: Barcelona believe Florentino Pérez deliberately submitted a €150M bid for Julián Alvarez to drive up his price.
“The move painted an ideal scenario for both Real Madrid and Atlético: Florentino Pérez fulfills his campaign promise to make a €150M bid, while Atlético increase their asking price for Julián Álvarez and strengthen their negotiating position with other clubs,” says @gastonedul.
Atletico is seriously cooking Real Madrid on the internet right now😭😭😭. This Atletico is a violent club, they have put the two biggest clubs in Spain in one put and cooked them heavily. ⚠️Stay Away from Alvarez!!!
🚨 Murals of Lamine Yamal and Pep Guardiola have appeared on destroyed buildings in Gaza.
The works are a gesture of thanks for their support for Palestine, with organizers saying the murals symbolize solidarity and recognize the impact their positions have had among people.
🚨 Atlético Madrid statement following €150m bid from Real Madrid for Julián Álvarez.
“1. You cut the video of the Pope where he said he was also an Atleti fan.
2. You must have confused ethics with gratitude, but to leave no doubts: we don't thank you for anything.
3. We are not studying nor considering any offer for Julián.
4. How could we [Madrid] not get along, when you make us laugh even more than Barcelona.”
🚨 @gastonedul: "Real Madrid's statement is a perfect win-win for both Real & Atleti.
Florentino Pérez gets to fulfill his election promise of making a €150M offer for a star, and Atletico Madrid get to drive up the price of Julian Alvarez in regards to other clubs."
Usually, bids, offers, and negotiations between clubs are never made public. I don't think I've ever seen a club release an official statement saying they made an offer for a player and had it rejected. Clubs usually either announce the signing officially or say nothing at all.
That's why I find this whole situation strange. It feels like Real Madrid wanted this information to become public because it makes the negotiations more difficult for us. Now everyone knows that even an offer of €150m was supposedly rejected by Atleti.
Honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised if the offer was never actually made and the whole thing was coordinated with Atleti because it benefits both sides. One side gets to show they're not willing to sell at any price, while the other makes it publicly clear that he fulfilled his promise and made the 150m offer.
We're so big that we're actually making two rival clubs work together against us.
