The govt has done away with the requirement of clinical investigation for new drugs having significant therapeutic advance over the current standard care and have already got the regulatory approval in the US, UK, Japan, Australia, Canada or the European Union.

The Govt. (@nppa_india) recently announced the creation of a committee to relook the issue of drug pricing in the country.
As usual the focus is going to be the Drug Price Control Order (DPCO) which is notified under the Essential Commodities Act, 1955:
