@ByDougMcIntyre@FOXSoccer Agreed. Eg he was loco and picked 7 CBs for this squad but played Geriatric Ream every single minute despite watching him get thrown around like a rag-doll in front of his goal with his leg flailing high in the air. Ultimately never beat a top team to justify his salary or quirks
@HenryBushnell "Your stupid takes" while failing to mention the dumb-as-a-rock Carli Lloyd starting the wave of slander and your senior writer colleague promoting it. I could go into detail about how Ream didn't defend at all and was the worst CB I've ever seen or the bad positioning of Freese
@HenryBushnell of the sport. Our soccer media is filled with "analysis" from the stupidest figures imaginable and we're unable to diagnose fundamental problems other than hating on one scapegoat.
@HenryBushnell in every game as Pochettino's starter but it would be well beyond the analytical abilities of one of "the greatest American soccer players in history." Btw, Lloyd also just said that Yamal hadn't accomplished anything and that she knows because she "played at the highest levels"
@Squeegex2@llSiggull@disclosetv conflict with the West especially. Iran, Russia, USSR, South Africa, Kuwait, Qatar, etc. Every football governing body reviews red cards after the game according to various standards of transparency. Weirdest part about this incident is lolcow UEFA whining w official statement.
@Squeegex2@llSiggull@disclosetv What rule in what rule book?! Keir Starmer just intervened on behalf of England and France just asked for Olise's yellow to be overturned, not to mention countless historical examples. The World Cup has always been a heavily political affair. Look at what happens to countries in
@Squeegex2@llSiggull@disclosetv I don't agree with Kelly's red either and it was widely criticized. And Balogan was just running after the ball and the defender caused them to collide and their legs to get tangled. Malik Tillman got a bloody foot and a hole in his sock from being stepped on in the same game but
@llSiggull@disclosetv Can you recall any red card instance from anywhere, where a player got one after being collided with by another player, and he wasn't trying to take away a ball from another's possession?
@Miner1860@disclosetv It was a loose ball and the defender knew he was late. It's not like Messi's play against Algeria or the previous red cards such as Ronaldo's that have been mentioned.
@TaylorTwellman Did you take a look at different videos of the play? I don't think Balogan was at fault for getting his legs tangled while going for a loose ball with a defender who was behind and changed his trajectory to collide with Balogan. Unlike the other red card plays you've mentioned.
@philippilk@MarkA75150 Yes, and that post is so bland that I'm surprised it became viral. Maybe people just like fat and old womanizers. I vaguely remember some details about his perversions that I'd rather not know more about.
@l3d1c I hate their stupid graph most of all. It obviously should not look like that if it was reliably registering a "touch" as it sailed past the attacker's head, it doesn't show anything when the ball bounces off the defender's head, and there are no labels for the axes. It's "new"
@party_of36611@iMiaSanMia Is that fotmob? You think that AI is more competent at football than humans? Maybe only Arsenal fans would agree with you. Germany only played well against the worst team of the tournament and could have been grouped without Undav off the bench. Do you know his story?
@party_of36611@iMiaSanMia They didn't play well π€£; stay away from sports, boy destined for demographic replacement. Did you know that Neuer came out of retirement to replace the 36 yr old starter Baumann who debuted in 2024? You and the DFB need to become competent before telling others what to do.
@TheAthleticFC Bad take as usual. I watched the game, saw the Germans doing this constantly, and expected them to regret doing so in a crucial moment at some point. All the grabbing and pushing on corners is not sporting and it was a good use of VAR.
