Researchers have developed a flexible, breathable skin patch that can effectively target and destroy melanoma cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. The innovative device uses laser-induced graphene embedded with copper(II) oxide nanoparticles within a soft silicone (PDMS) matrix. The patch remains inactive until gently heated to about 108ยฐF (42ยฐC) with a low-power laser, at which point it releases copper ions directly into the tumor.
In preclinical mouse studies, the โheat-and-releaseโ patch reduced melanoma lesions by 97% within just 10 days after two one-hour treatments. Beyond shrinking the primary tumor, the patch triggered multiple forms of programmed cell death (including apoptosis, cuproptosis, and ferroptosis), reduced cancer cell migration, and stimulated an immune response that helped prevent metastasis. Importantly, it showed no significant damage to surrounding healthy skin and avoided harmful copper accumulation in major organs.
The patch is stretchable, transparent, reusable, and easy to apply, making it a potentially convenient and less invasive alternative to traditional surgical excision for skin cancer.
While the results are highly encouraging, the technology is still in the early experimental stage and requires further testing before human clinical use.

In this first one we are entering from the southeast just after sunrise and the bright arc on the far northwest eye wall is the light just beginning to make it over the top from behind us.

Absolutely extraordinary exchange between Israel and China ๐ I've never seen such a heated exchange come out of top-level forum in China (this is from the 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum that started yesterday), this normally never happens.
The guy speaking is Yan Xuetong, the dean of the Institute of International Relations at Tsinghua University, the most prestigious university in China.
Speaking for Israel is a military officer apparently called Elad Shoshan.
Yan Xuetong truly doesn't hold back:
- When the Israeli officer tries to bullshit him around how Israel supposedly protects civilians in Gaza, he replies: "You killed more than 70,000 civilians!... The fact is not decided by you... It is not decided by your government. Your government has no legitimacy or the right to decide or defend what is fact"
- And when told that the war will end when Hamas release hostages he replies: "No, this kind of propaganda have too many. No one believe it! Too many! Too much! No one believe it, except a few Israelis"
Sepatutnya letak logo harimau, bukannya letak teks Maybank yang nampak cheap. Warna logo mesti blend dengan warna bangunan, baru nampak lebih estetik dan tak mencacatkan pandangan

๐จ JUST IN. Anthropic gave Claude $1000 to run a shop. It lost money every single day.
But that's not the crazy part.
It rejected 566% profit margins and gave away inventory while claiming to wear business clothes.
If you think AI will replace workers, you need to see this:
I've actually always loved the clever Malay acronyms.
Awas - Anda waspada anda selamat
Bomba - Badan organisasi mencegah bencana alam
Jenama - Jenis nama
Purata - pukul rata
Tadika - Taman didikan kanak-kanak
Malay is a much more beautiful language than English, and I'm saying this as someone whose first language was English. (Was because I also think and dream in Malay after going to SK and SMK, hence BM is also a native language for me.)
