A science fiction writer and Star Trek fan with more kids than time. I write at the park, library, or school, and my house is always a little messy. #amwriting
@abbythetweet I’m trying to now. Telescoping characters into one. Dropping all the “ran her hands through her hair” of which I’m a big fan. And side plots. I’m a sucker for a great side plot.
@AE_Hayes This happened at my son’s gym. We quarantined him at home away from everyone - I’m talking shut door eating meals at odd times masking to the bathroom - until he was within the range to be tested. (Negative!) We told the school our plan. Period. They decided to get on board!
@AE_Hayes I’m in remission and I’m so with you. Even following full lock down procedures, we still get unmasked door to door salesmen?!?! My husband backs them off the porch (politely but firmly) yelling from six feet: she’s in remission - you can’t be here!!
#writers Advice on finding a writer’s group? We move too much to find one locally. And apparently my husband is too busy with work to read all my originals, my edits, then give me detailed criticism. 🙄 Anyone have luck finding their 8-9 special someones on #nanowrimo#wattpad ?
Um… yes please. There’s only so many times you can watch different people do the same triple spin round off without feeling like EVERYONE can apparently do a triple spin round off. Law of diminishing returns.
@hollhideaway Haunting of Hill House. Nell in the car with her sisters. I screamed so loud, my kids came to my room to make sure I was okay. THAT is how you do a jump scare!
Cancer touches so many families.
Thank you @whitmanwalker and @cancersupporthq for hosting me today to talk about support for cancer patients and caregivers, as well as the impact of COVID-19 on access to health care, screenings, and prevention efforts.
