And that’s it for Focus 2019! A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the conference such a success.
As we say goodbye to Glasgow, we’re already looking forward to seeing you in Belfast next year!
It's goodbye to Glasgow for @ACBFocus 2019 after another great meeting. Looking forward to next meeting in Belfast 2020. A great city to visit 😃 #FOCUS_2019
Any resemblance to Sydney Opera House is entirely coincidental. This is the Scottish Event Centre, the venue for @ACBFocus. Off to introduce this year's Flynn lecturer on behalf of @RCPath and chair the Informatics session.
Finishing the day, Dr Joanna Sheldon gave the ACB Foundation Lecture on Harmonisation and Standardisation in Proteins and Immunology, before being presented with the ACB Foundation Award by ACB President Prof Ian Young.
Really interesting discussion on the problems with accreditation and challenges of EQA. There is a need for lab professionals to agree key performance standards that can be related to patient outcomes & assure quality, not compliance. @ACBFocus#FOCUS_2019
The afternoon parallel sessions are underway. “Focus on Service” looks at Demand Optimisation, while “Focus on Science” sees presenters competing for the ACB Medal Award.
Delighted to welcome Dr Carmen Wiley, AACC President, to give the ACB/AACC Transatlantic Lecture on Immunoassay Interferences and their Impact on Patient Care.
