A rare outing for the Presidential Medal. Delighted to present the journalism prizes at The Association Of Clinical Pathologists Annual Dinner prior to today’s Council and AGM held at the RCGP.

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

Thanks to @IBMScience for the invite to the inauguration of their new President, Dr Sarah Pitt. A great opportunity yesterday to meet new colleagues and reconnect with old friends!

Off to Southampton to the 38th ACP Advanced Leadership and Management Course, my first as President @ACP_Pathologist. Here I am with Dr Bridget Wilkins, ACP National Leadership Skills Programme Co-ordinator presenting prizes for the Best Business Planning presentation.

[Ian Higginson @RCEMpresident]

The end of an era as Adrian Boyle hands over the reins and I become RCEM president as of Sept 11th. He’s been immense. Big shoes to fill. Thanks to Adrian for his tireless efforts over the last 3 years.

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

Attending @ICPaLM2025 and the International Liaison of Pathology Presidents as President @ACP_Pathologist. Vibrant multidisciplinary meeting.

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

Honoured to take over as President @ACP_Pathologist from @ilovepathology at our AGM on 28th June. Suzy Lishman has taken the Association forward and will continue to contribute as immediate Past President.

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

Off to represent @ACP_Pathologist at the Pathology Alliance. Back in the groove, with the Stockport departure board as unreliable as ever.

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

First London engagement of my new role @ACP_Pathologist in the corporate splendour of the City.

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

Ditto!

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

@UKFCI Annual Scientific Conference #UKFCI2023 in Manchester - a local tram ride for a change. Huge variety of presentations, all showcasing the vital contribution of Informatics to patient care, and a conference dinner you actually eat sitting down. Fab.

[Dame Suzy Lishman @ilovepathology]

Congratulations to two inspirational pathology leaders - @mike4path for a great 3 years as @RCPath President, and @BernieCroal, who became President at the AGM this afternoon. The College remains in safe hands.

[Michael Osborn @mike4path]

Just handed over ⁦@RCPath⁩ Presidency to Bernie Croal, thank you @RCPath members for giving me the honour of being your President, its been a wonderful experience, & thank you to everyone at the college for your help & support. Good luck Bernie & the new team 👍

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

A chronicle of my last day as Registrar. Proud of my roles @RCPath: if you’re thinking of taking something on, don’t hesitate. Teamwork at its best.

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

@PhilMonaghan1 @ManCity @TheChristieNHS Brilliant! CTID

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

Last trip as Registrar. Won’t miss the dodgy piano at Stockport or even dodgier toilets on west coast trains, even though this one’s on time for a change. Will miss my colleagues @RCPath and the teamwork in responding to endless challenges.

[Lance Sandle @SandlePath]

My last Trustee Board yesterday : great day looking forward to the work of the next @RCPath honorary officer team led by the tireless @BernieCroal. Enforced overnights at RCGP allowed for some uncharacteristically nerdy boxset buying activity. AGM in 2 weeks: obscurity beckons!
