What a wonderfully written piece that resonates so much. When people ask me why I left my academic job they want me to point to this thing or that thing. But mostly it was this - this unrelenting tiredness - that made me decide I needed to be somewhere else and do something else
Students in regional and remote areas say the rising costs of going to university and moving away from home are major barrier to accessing higher education. Many aren't eligible for govt support, or don't know if they are eligible.

@eleanorcolla Much nicer than the NSW version I got recently which came in an envelope plastered with anti-speeding messages that made me panic that it was a speeding fine that I had no idea how I would have gotten 😐
