@realJonStarkey@SimpleXChat@GrapheneOS Hi! We don't have an API endpoint for this purpose yet, though we plan to. We're hoping to open up submissions again later this year.
@WallStreetMoon@Joe_IO@cryptojones22@cakewallet We'd love to, but unfortunately we need to make some changes before we're ready to handle more app submissions. Thankfully, we're confident we have the information we need from current app developers to make the experience more streamlined once submissions open again.
@SAP127001 If an app doesn't have an update available on Accrescent, it means that either the developer hasn't submitted it yet, or that they have and are waiting on us to review it.
@SAP127001 Hi! We don't update the apps in Accrescent ourselves. Developers submit updates directly similarly to how Google Play works. These updates are usually published immediately, but sometimes they require manual review, in which case we usually review them within a few days.
@SAP127001@cakewallet@GrapheneOS Hi! It looks like Cake Wallet's developers haven't uploaded the new version to Accrescent. Once they upload it, we should be able to publish it.
If you've wondered how Android developer verification affects Accrescent, today we have a new blog post explaining briefly what it is, how it impacts us, and how we're responding.

It's time for an update! Check out our blog for a new update on:
- What we've accomplished in the last 3 months
- What's next for Accrescent
Thank you to our supporters for making this possible!

@malekzuaiter We're accepting some now incrementally, but aren't prioritizing adding new apps right now. Developers can reach out, but we can't guarantee we'll publish them, so we aren't actively encouraging app developers to request submission access yet.
Accrescent 0.27.0 is here! This is the most significant release we've made to date:
- New, stable app store API
- Complete installer rewrite, resolving all known bugs
- Tons of new features
- More snappy, correct, & informative UI
Check it out! ๐

The servers were deployed a few weeks ago. However, our next app update had unexpected bugs, delaying its release.
As a result, updates for all apps have been delayed since. We apologize for the delay and hope to resolve it by the end of the week. Thank you for your patience!
Development on our roadmap is progressing smoothly. Our next app and server releases are undergoing final testing before deployment.
We hope to make an announcement soon about what Android's recently announced developer verification requirements mean for Accrescent. Stay tuned!
@Seraskerx We intended to make that release immediately after the app format change, but we noticed a serious bug at the last second which prevented us from doing so.
We're updating Accrescent's code to handle app downloads much more robustly so that the release can roll out smoothly.
Since we published our blog post on the future of Accrescent, donations have increased dramatically.
According to the rates in that post, we should now be able to fund full-time development through at least May 2026!
Thank you to our community for your monumental support!
@Seraskerx Hello! Our servers started publishing apps in a new format, but we haven't updated Accrescent yet to understand it, so it can't yet see new app updates.
We're working hard to make a new release that understands the new app format and hope to release it soon!
@JimD326 @AlternativeTo We plan to make an announcement about Android developer verification soon. It will not affect us in the same way as it will F-Droid since Accrescent accepts only developer-signed apps, but it does raise issues for third-party app stores which Google hasn't yet addressed.
