Mike Johnson has blocked a proposal to allow representatives who give birth 6 weeks of being able to vote remotely so they could recover from childbirth.

In response to Johnson blocking the billl from even being brought to the house floor, GOP Rep Anna Luna stated "Female members should not be forced to choose between representing their constituents and having children."

@Noahpinion Have you given BlueSky a legitimate try? I've actually found it's the opposite. I've found the toxic leftists to not be nearly as prevalent or as toxic on BlueSky as they are here, and blocking overall is much more effective

@stacycay BlueSky is generally a better place than this. Need more people and viewpoints, but I noticed much less insane and toxic stuff like this overall. Blocking and filtering out this stuff works much better as well.

Another tough realization that democrats must reckon with is that putting country over party has gained us nothing electorally, not a single thing. Democrats forced Trump to do the stimulus checks and extra unemployment benefits yet he’s gotten all the credit for all of it.

Biden sent out an even bigger check than Trump did but nope, the narrative is still ‘Trump gave us stimulus checks’.

Democrats made healthcare affordable for millions, ended a war— effectively ended the drone program, child tax credits, brought back manufacturing jobs, record low unemployment, saved the economy from a recession..and we were punished for it; severely in fact. How do you reckon with that?

The reason she became the FBI’s person of interest is because she was vice chair of the DNC at the time, and her emails weren’t included in the leak.

She also then started amplifying pro-Russian talking points, and Kremlin owned media outlets, including justifying Russia’s actions in Crimea.

Then Gabbard started appearing on Tucker Carlsons show - which, Canadian intelligence forces have reported as one of the US media companies receiving payments from the Kremlin operated RT.

Gabbard also received funds directly from Elena Branson, after she visited the Russian Embassy in 2019.

Since her nomination to the DNI, Russia has publicly praised her, but five-eyes partners have spoken out in concern, going as far as to say that the US would not be “read-in” to sensitive intelligence matters from partners if she’s at the helm.

Trump has made a lot of dumb quid-pro-quo cabinet choices.

But Tulsi Gabbard is the most dangerous.
