Look, if I turned my comments off, please don’t think ‘teehee she turned her comments off to deter the haters but I cam dm her positive comments about it!’
I truly don’t want to get bugged about it. Just appreciate it and move on, please.
Being somebody in close proximity to many first gen American parents...imo people underestimate the effort needed to teach kids a second language and have them retain it to adulthood, especially if it’s not common as a second language here.
This is actually kind of sad for the parents too. Sometimes you just want to be as candid as you can be with the people closest to you (your kids) but now you can’t because there’s a language barrier.
This was a little surprising to me as everyone in my original country is at least bilingual but I guess since everyone is bilingual, there’s always a chance to practice? Anyway, sorry for the thread.
"He's the one named Sailor Ren!"
A comic dub I've had on the backburner for about a year now, but the first part of this mini-crossover is done!

Me and my friend were just discussing our experiences of being Asian immigrants in the states and she had a realisation that being told ‘Maybe you’re quiet because it’s your culture’ is pretty racist.
@OptimalRob Yeah, I came from a place that uses British english so hearing specs to mean glasses was my first instinct but did a double take later when I went back to the scene. Probably, the translators were not American?
Idk if this falls into #P5S spoilers but I really thought that when Alice said ‘those are some quality specs’, she was complimenting Joker’s glasses 🙃🙃
