BREAKING: First Lady Jill Biden exudes absolute class by passing a note to Melania Trump after the incoming MAGA First Lady disgracefully declined her traditional invitation for tea at the White House.
This is how you respond to tactlessness with grace...
"I congratulated her and I offered help," Jill Biden told The Washington Post.
"Joe and I respect our institutions, our traditions and it’s very important to me that they continue and we... What would be the point of nastiness?" she stated, responding to questions about the warmth she projected when meeting with Trump in November.
Given the historic nature of Melania's snub — as this might be the first time an incoming First Lady has refused the traditional tea invite — this reaction speaks highly of Jill Biden.
Melania finally thanked Jill for the note at Jimmy Carter's funeral last week.
We are going to miss Jill Biden's class, intelligence, and kindness.
Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that Jill is a far superior First Lady to Melania — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. There is so much to love about College Football. It’s easy to sometimes overlook or take for granted things like team colors, uniforms and helmets
I’m not a USC or LSU fan, but these two programs have really visually appealing colors and uniforms with classic helmets
I love it
We are nearly three years into the infrastructure law. Across every state, over 60,000 projects are moving forward—the largest investment in U.S. infrastructure in generations. Our infrastructure decade is underway, and we're just getting started.
Harris/Walz are not only winning the race for the White House. They're putting states in play that were once written off.
2012 - Obama loses Texas by 16%
2016 - Clinton loses Texas by 9%
2020 - Biden loses Texas by 5.5%
We'll win Texas before long. Much sooner thanks to them.
Thanks, Senator—we're proud to see these major bridge investments take shape. Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Biden-Harris administration has sent $4.9 billion to South Carolina for 337 projects—including the replacement of the Lake Marion Bridge.
In case you missed it, our department announced a plan to ban airline family seating junk fees.
You shouldn't be charged extra just to sit with your kid.

Grateful for our service members in the U.S. Coast Guard who protect our shores and ports and strengthen our national security every day. Happy 234th birthday, @USCG!
The Blatnik Bridge is a vital connection for people and goods moving between Duluth, MN, & Superior, WI. But it's aging, and without repairs, would close by 2030.
These are the people who count on this bridge every day, and the people who will build its replacement.
We're investing in America—and that means all of America.
Today I'm in Maine, the 50th state I’ve visited as Secretary and the latest chance to see how our investments are benefiting rural areas.
Exciting news, Maine! We're funding a new project, with funds from the President's infrastructure law, to purchase electric buses and chargers. https://t.co/a4zvs1bAu6
It is so damn refreshing to see laughter and joy on the campaign trail.
I found myself cheering and chanting along with the crowd today.
Remember, WE are the chang. And there is nothing we can't accomplish when we are united!
