Here's my thinking: A) didn't want to break the line under strain, B) lots of weight on the car, but it's evenly distributed, C) car not needed immediately but worried for more damage, D) can't see how bad it is, and ICBC said don't move it. @NikoMarkov I was advised not to do that because the comms line had a lot of weight on it, and more movement would have torn it. Did you know that Telus does aerial installs of fibre? In hindsight, breaking the line would have made them come faster

@DJ_Vagab0nd Funny thing is that this tree shows up on the city tree map where they've mapped out all the trees they are responsible for. Most ppl I called including ICBC said that very large trees are supposed to be the city's responsibility, so definitely some confusion here

This thread isn't a "woe is me" but a cautionary tale. With all the old trees in #Vancouver, and increased issues due to climate change, surely there must be a better way to do the work, so that we can react faster to these situations. Just saying #BCStorm

Update: my property manager sent an arborist. 7PM or 31 hrs later the branch is finally off the car! Glad this part of the debacle is over.

@WIND_Cares been with Wind 2 years and service isn't upgrading, its downgrading. Can't fix it by mid next year then I'm switching for sure.
