LABYRINTH 40TH - TELL US ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY
“What kind of magic spell to use?”
Even the most casual observer can’t have failed to notice that 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Jim Henson’s Labyrinth.
We’ve said it before, but just three years on from the influx of new recruits drawn in by the Let's Dance album and accompanying Serious Moonlight World Tour of 1983, Labyrinth became the gateway for a whole new generation of Bowie fans.
The film was first released on this day in 1986 in North American cinemas, before opening later in other territories.
Meanwhile, this week forty years ago, the Labyrinth soundtrack album reached its UK chart peak of #21, at the same time as the single Underground also peaked at #21 in the UK.
Since then, an entire Labyrinth industry has grown up around the film, with an endless stream of collectables keeping fans of Jareth and Sarah—not to mention the host of other lovable characters—happy... and, quite possibly, out of pocket!
Now we'd like to hear about your own Labyrinth journey. Whether it's a cherished memory of seeing the film for the first time, your favourite piece of memorabilia, or anything else you think fellow fans would enjoy reading or seeing, we'd love you to share it.

We've kicked things off on the second slide with one of the many treasures from Labyrinth’s wealth of memorabilia: the set of three MARVEL comic books published in 1986–87.
They're still relatively easy to find, although a complete set of three in mint condition will set you back a pretty penny. Even then, the dedicated collector may face one final dilemma... with barcodes or without?

What a loss. I had a former manager that looked like her and spent over a year doing Home Alone bits with her. We lost one of the best movie moms out there.

VTubers are not your boyfriend/girlfriend/significant other.
It's crucial to understand that the majority of us are here to entertain and create content.
I often get asked if I’m single. And just because I am doesn’t mean I want to date/flirt with you.
I understand that some people feel lonely and want to fill that void, but please understand and respect our boundaries.

Story time, my dad decided to get my at the time 9 year old brother this when it came out. My mom was FURIOUS over this. So when she was not home I let him play and we had such a laugh over it. So if you ever wonder about my twisted humor...
Doom was the first game my brother and I bonded over. From learning every corner of the game to downloading community maps over dial-up. This game will always have a special place in my heart for that.
DOOM scared the crap outta me.
Not because it was a scary game, but because I'd visited Id's offices and seen it during development and I knew that the guys were making something groundbreaking that would leave everyone else in the dust. It was beyond groundbreaking, and at that time Id had told me that they were going off on their own, after we'd collaborated on the Commander Keen games and Wolfenstein 3D.
I was worried Apogee would be left behind forever.
Thankfully Apogee made a partnership with Ken Silverman to create a DOOM-like engine for us, and we were able to stay in the race.
But wow, DOOM was something special. A perfect game. A singular release that was bigger than the MCU snap. Id was two years ahead of every other studio and back then two years felt like a decade.
If DOOM isn't on your Mt Rushmore of all-time games, then you simply don't know how big it was.

Just got the word my aunt passed away. It was peaceful and was time. She survived with her condition for over 5 years, it's hard not to say goodbye but I know she is happy to be free and to watch over us, yelling at us on how to properly cook a turkey. Love you Renee.
