It’s sad to see this from Ariana Grande. Months ago, she posed with openly Zionist male artists. Does her moral compass only apply to women? Given her history with married men, her focus on female rivalry is ironic. Should we also ask why she still follows Justin Bieber?
Olympic swimmer Ariarne Titmus called Sydney Sweeney’s naked Novig betting ad "a kick in the face to every woman who has dedicated her life to perfecting her craft."
I don’t recall male athletes calling out David Beckham or Jamie Dornan.
Serena Williams, former UFC champion Ronda Rousey, basketball star Sue Bird, footballer Megan Rapinoe and tennis player Caroline Wozniacki. Should also face backlash
some women are jealous of sydney sweeney that's it.
I’m going to say something about this Sydney Sweeney controversy and how so many female athletes are now taking advantage of it to highlight the issues in women’s sports and blame Sydney for how the world sees them, despite the fact that many of them didn’t even see the ad:
Point one: Sydney made this ad for MEN WHO BET ON SPORTS.
Point two: This was never about women’s sports. At no point was Sydney portraying an athlete or trying to imitate female athletes in that ad.
Point three: She’s not telling you to go play soccer naked. She made this ad for MEN, not female athletes.
Point four: This is MARKETING. They want to reach a specific audience, and they also want the brand to gain visibility through the controversy. And guess what? It worked.
Point five: The target audience, even though I’m repeating myself, is MEN WHO BET ON SPORTS, not female athletes.
And as someone who studies digital marketing, I could tell you so many more things about this campaign and why IT’S A SUCCESS. Do I like it? No. Does anyone care about my opinion? Probably not. But I wanted to say it because I find it ridiculous that female athletes are suddenly offended when this ad wasn’t even aimed at them. This is probably something the brand expected, and by making all these TikTok or Instagram trends about it, you’re only giving the brand more visibility. A HUGE amount of visibility.
And this will keep happening because THERE IS A MARKET FOR IT. Do you really think there wasn’t any research done before they decided to approach Sydney and have her appear nearly naked in an ad? Of course there was.
🚨 Zendaya’s mom shared two thoughts on her Instagram Stories about the Sydney Sweeney and Novig controversy:
1️⃣ The first post she shared from someone on Instagram says that Sydney isn’t the problem. She’s an adult woman and can do whatever she wants with her body. Women can be many things, including sexy, but value and attention aren’t the same thing. The problem is the culture and algorithms that teach girls which version of themselves gets the most attention. It also points out that Sydney isn’t raising her daughter and that it’s not Sydney’s responsibility to do so—it’s hers as a mother.
It also clarifies that questioning the continued use of women’s bodies to sell things doesn’t mean hating women. “Guys, we can do this with nuance.”
2️⃣ The other video she shared goes even further: it says the real problem isn’t even that Sydney gets naked, but that Novig is a sports betting app, and what’s concerning is the normalization of legal gambling in sports.

I can assure you that 90% of the people claiming Sydney Sweeney set women’s sports back have NEVER watched women’s sports, let alone supported female athletes.
instead of worrying about the industry's toxic men—bearing in mind the recent news that Ed Sheeran is a Zionist, and that Chris Brown and Kanye West are packing stadiums. But the problem is always Sydney; women can do whatever they want with their bodies, and that applies to Syd
