@formulaleonog7 look, I am an Alonso fan, and it was obvious to anyone that Monaco 2023 was gonna be THE chance. As it turned out, even though the Aston was closer than ever, the Red Bull was still sligthly faster.
Keep this example in mind for the weekend, it might very well happen the same
@LAT3BRAKING MON: ALO (I can't phantom the reason why this would be a tie.Alonso overcut Hamilton and then had enough pace to avoid Vettel's overcut, unlike Lewis)
There's a few other close calls that I can accept to disagree on, it would be a matter of opinion.
JAP should be tie, both sucked
@formulaleonog7 It should be more. The gap would have been way higher in normal conditions.
He put 9s on Massa on same strategy despite being forced to start much further back and having damage during the race.
@l1ckthestamp@formulaleonog7 He didn't set a lap so that he could choose which tyres to start with. People believed there would be a inhuman amount of graining on Sunday, and thus that starting on Softs (effectively Mediums) would be a massive advantage and would win the race.
@formulaleonog7 Overtakes ON TRACK 6 drivers because the team doesn't heed his request of extending the stint and instead masterfully manages to do not an overcut, nor an undercut. And is only overtaken at the end with an issue by a driver who DID extend his stint.
And you give this driver 8.5?
@formulaleonog7 Maybe... It certainly could be a fun debate to have on which was the faster car, but that's not what outrages me: a driver, with no proper FP practice, nevertheless fastest in Q1 and Q2. Forced to start P10.
@formulaleonog7 Luck corrected, his engine and gearbox don't fail on Friday, and the brakes in FP3; luck corrected his anti-roll bar doesn't fail in Q3 and he sets pole; luck corrected his suspension doesn't get damaged by Vettel so that he could have held off Perez, despite the bad strategy.
@effonecasualfan Just like that Jeddah lap. If he had completed it? Would have been just one lap of many, but instead he CRASHED the car to turn it into a legendary lap!
@spicyrig63 Imma be that annoying guy, sorry: Alonso in Miami race got 4 track limits, but wasn't given any penalty, so that 4 should be yellow instead of red
@KarolusYt37983@brook_f1 This answer is wrong on so many levels that I can't even address all of them.
When I say "it's not safe" I mean "they can die".
I hope I don't have to explain why "braking earlier" is not a solution
@joa_is_here@emioderso Vettel's 2013 Grand Chelem came with the dominant car.
Alonso's 2010 Grand Chelem came against a faster car than Ferrari.
They are not the same
