Today, I pitched my sector change project, ¡Adelante! - an org that develops leaders to transform educational spaces for Latinx students.
I have been passionate about creating this project for so long, and today I vocalized it into the world.

Part of my year of yes is acknowledging we don’t go through life alone, it is made up of relationships that touch us in ways that mold us as we continue to become. Thanks to everyone who has touched my life in small, medium, and big ways… my life is better because you’ve been it

We are all beautiful sunflowers. Some have already bloomed, others still blooming, but the storm’s just part of the process. 🌻🌻
I set a date with myself to experience the silence, peace, and serenity of nature. My intention was to reflect on my journey, something easy to do when you have no service and take the trails with few to no people on them. 7 miles later, here are reminders nature gave me:
Sometimes you seek out people who are holding or have held a position of formal authority. Other times, they just walk into the room while you’re there and proceed to give you a small pep talk 😂 either way, it highlights how interconnected we all are. #harvardconnections
[2/2] I’m especially grateful for these chingonas that I am proud to be able to call my colleagues and my friends. We’re each different & show up to affirm and support each other’s traditions, customs, and heritage.

[1/2] Of every 100 doctorate students, 3 are Latinas… so in a cohort of 25, none of us should be here… at least that’s what data says.
And YET… here we are - 3 incredible, fierce Latinas defying all the odds and determined to change the world.
Feeling incredibly grateful for having been able to spend time with former HUD Secretary @JulianCastro as he spoke about his experience going into public service and inspired us to find ways to uplift the people around us. Huge thanks to Harvard Alianza for hosting the event!
