NEW PAPER: much has been made of the grassroot backgrounds of the recent @England#EURO2020 squad. With New Labour's modernisation agenda in mind, this research explores the experiences of the volunteers that football (and all sport) depend on. https://t.co/w0pMC2Ku0j
@Fire_and_Skill Hi Paul,
Are you able to expand on this please?
What is it that is poor from Ipswich? Allowing NF on site to do a promo or the statement or both?
And why is it bad for democracy? Are you suggesting that no football clubs should be associated in any form to a political leader?
And congratulations to Chloe and Emily who were judged as the winners of the challenge. Not only did Chole Emordy and Emily Murray raise just under £150, but they did so in a creative way delivering athletics sessions as well as making and selling bracelets. 2/2
@UWS_Sport Sport Management & Enterprise students have spent this term applying taught content into practice with the Tenner to Tons challenge run by @SSF_Futures. Groups were given £10 and tasked with turning this into as much money as possible. Over £500 was raised for SSF. 1/2
@UWS_Sport second year Sport Development students hosting their Christmas Comes to Campus sports day. Badminton, table tennis, table football, beat the goalie, and Just Dance. Raising money for @SSF_Futures. Staff, students, and visitors welcome to join in with prizes to be won
Great to be able to present research about the evolving role of the football development practitioner and the implications this has on micro-political interests and emotions. Thank you @FB_Collective for having me. What a well organised conference
@UWS_Sport
Looking forward to supporting this event in Newcastle next week. Alongside supporting the event I will be presenting research developed during my time at @SAFCFoL titled- "The evolving role of the football development practitioner- football coach to social worker"

It was great to see the students embrace this opportunity for applying principles learned in the classroom into practice and raise money in the process. Looking forward to seeing what entrepreneurial ideas this year’s students come up with.
We are delighted to be working with @UniWestScotland again this semester on our entrepreneurial fundraiser - Tenner to Tons!

@Karl_McDermott question- what have the grounds team been doing to the right of the pitch (looking from pavilion) at lunch the last couple of days? Looks like hard work with the contraption but not sure what is happening?
Well done to @UWS_Sport Sport Management & Enterprise students who have been raising money for @SSF_Futures. Students were given an initial £10 with the challenge of raising as much money as possible. Current total raised is £1568.28.
Thank you to @Preeti_SSF and @Scott_SSF
@haw_stuart This thread continues to pay dividends- thank you Stuart for creating a thread with such a helpful legacy (10 weeks to go for me). Those at any stage of a PhD should like and save this thread for when the time comes.
Congratulations @kevyharris and Andrew Adams for compiling this important book. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to contribute to the book with the chapter- "Knowledge Exchange in Evaluation: Moving the Field Forward". Well done to all the other contributors too.

@AmazonHelp Well I may end up buying the book from an alternative supplier and cancelling my order with @AmazonUK. Not even an email apologising for the delay or any effort to put things right in a timely manner.
@AmazonHelp The delivery date was meant to be today. The order status is now suggesting the book may not arrive until Sunday! One of the reasons why I ordered from @AmazonUK was the promise that it would be delivered on day of release (today)- sadly this has not proven to be the case.
