DILAPIDATED CLASSROOM. CEILING COLLAPSE. CHILDREN INJURED IN KARNATAKA.

Six students were seriously injured after a portion of the ceiling collapsed during class at a government school in Mugalolli, Karnataka’s Bagalkote.

Concrete fell onto the students’ benches. Iron rods were reportedly visible through the damaged ceiling, with the classroom already in a poor condition.

Parents have alleged official negligence.

Bagalkote DDPI Sheetharamu has ordered an inquiry, saying disciplinary action will follow if classes were held in a dilapidated room despite funds being available for repairs.
