The UK’s climate tech sector is building serious momentum and last night’s reception at Parliament was a great reminder of that.
It was a pleasure to attend the ClimateTech reception and meet so many innovative businesses working towards a cleaner, more transparent future.
Can policy alone solve the UK’s climate challenges?
Last week I joined the ClimateTech APPG report launch at Parliament with Startup Coalition, where the discussion focused on seven key recommendations.
I was at London Tech Week yesterday, and it was fantastic.
Everyone was talking about AI.
Every conversation.
Every keynote.
Every innovation showcase.
Are most organisations ready for AI, or are they still building the foundations needed to make it work?
If you’re in PPE…this might hit a bit too close 😅
Multiple systems.
Data everywhere.
Updating the same thing… again and again.
We turned what we hear every day into a track. 🎧
Because honestly, this is the reality for most teams right now.
Watch till the end 👀
At the The Health & Safety Event today 💥
We’ll be talking about Digital Product Passports and how PPE businesses can better structure product and compliance data.
If you’re around, feel free to stop by for a quick chat.
Tomorrow’s the day, heading to the Health & Safety Event.
Always a good place to see what’s changing in the industry
new products, innovative businesses, and great people.
If you’re around, would be great to have a quick chat.
Had a few conversations recently with PPE teams about how they manage product data.
Most of the effort isn’t in the systems, it’s in keeping them aligned.
This video shows what that looks like in practice.
I’ll be at the Health & Safety Event on the 28th, Let's connect there.
PPE data at scale:
500 data points → 175,000 → millions per year
And still managed in spreadsheets?
That breaks fast especially with DPP coming.
We’re fixing this for PPE with one system.
At NEC Birmingham (28–30 April). DM me if you’re there 👋
What if you lose your biggest contract by 2027… just because you're not ready for Digital Product Passport (DPP)?
We’re helping PPE teams bring DPP, PIM & PLM into one system.
We are at NEC Birmingham (28–30 April) for The Health & Safety Event — DM me if you’re attending 👋
Digital Product Passports are often seen as a future compliance task.
In reality, they solve a very current problem: How PPE businesses manage product, certification, and supplier data at scale.
Great to be at Dawn Capital with industrial leaders, startups, and government voices aligned on where tech + policy are heading.
Good conversations with Tom Adiyola (Innovate UK) and Stuart Clarke (UK Tech Week) on what’s next.
You update one thing…
Now you’re updating everything.
Spreadsheet. Website. Docs. Folders.
Same data. Again and again.
Our customers update it once.
That's it.
No Mr. Bean energy required 😅
If this feels familiar, happy to share how we’re solving this.

24 hours to go: Fashion Founder Friday – DPP Edition
Most brands still manage product & certification data in spreadsheets. That won’t scale.

We’ll cover:
• What DPP means
• How to structure your data
• What to do now

1 PPE product = ~60 mins of compliance work.
Now imagine 100 products.
Most of that time isn’t analysis.
It’s collecting data:
• certificates
• specs
• documents
When data is scattered, time adds up fast.
How much time does your team spend on this?
You found the file.
But you still don’t trust it.
CE_Certificate_Gloves_2025_latest_FINAL(3).pdf
Looks right…
But is it the latest?
That’s the problem.
Not missing data.
Disconnected data.
“We use Excel as our PLM. We’re quite organised.”
Fair.
Until:
more products
more certifications
more revisions
Excel didn’t break.
The process did.
It works… until growth exposes the cracks.
When did Excel become a bottleneck for you?
Why has managing product data in fashion and PPE become so complicated?
We’re not building rockets.
Yet one product can involve:
multiple components
dozens of certifications
hundreds of suppliers
And the data? Scattered everywhere.
This complexity isn’t natural. It’s created.
“Can you send the documentation?”
30–60 minutes later…
And sometimes you discover:
a certificate has expired.
Now it’s not just a request.
It’s a problem.
More work. More stress.
How long does this take in your team?
PPE businesses want to grow.
But as they add more products, something strange happens:
Admin grows faster than revenue.
So the solution becomes:
“Let’s hire another person.”
That person ends up… searching for data all day.
Is that really the role you’re hiring for?
