@CWGC Diego Suarez War Cemetery, in the town of Antsiranana on the western shore of Diego Suarez Bay, north-east coast of Madagascar. This cemetery contains 314 Commonwealth burials of the WW2 and one Belgian war grave. Beautifully kept by @CWGC Gardeners Jacky, Deny and Martin

Together with @davidaloveridge, great to make a first @cwgc operational visit to Myanmar in over 5 years. Valuable training and discussion in Yangon. A lot clearly to do but lots to build upon with the exceptionally resilient and hardworking team based across the country.
This week our High Commissioner met with Vice Admiral Peter Hudson CBE, Vice Chairman of @CWGC to discuss work in ๐น๐ฟactioning the findings of the Non Commemoration report and conducting archival research to uncover the 'lost' history of the First World War in East Africa.
Great to spend 7 days with @CWGC Vice Chairman as he visited and inspected our sites in Kenya & Tanzania, meeting staff & other maintenance teams. The Vice Chairman also met various stakeholders to further strengthen the existing partnerships.
