I see so much these days on "loading", players dropped and minutes limited due to it.
That "high load" training week will have completely different effects for differing athletes based on their sleep quality and quantity throughout the week.
Education is key.
After spending the past 12 months sidelined with injury, I have struggled to build up my fitness & strength.
After 10 weeks with Adam I am feeling like myself again. With weekly 1:1 tailored gym sessions, I feel fitter, stronger and more importantly, closer to full fitness.

Managers that allow data to make decisions for them in regards to player performance, rather than using it as the tool that it is, are destined for failure.
Take an individualistic approach to player performance output.

90 + 5 | the ref blows the whistle to end the second half as an Imogen penalty settled the game. Cheadle definitely started slowly but grew into the game.

Should become, "I am training to dominate the pitch".
You'll lift heavier, sprint faster and jump higher because you are training to GET BETTER.
Not to merely avoid injury.
Guess what though.... STRONGER athletes are harder to kill!
@Wendi_Irlbeck I believe what A LOT of people don't actually understand, is athletes who attain this level of success in their sport and have nutrition habits like he is saying he does, do so IN SPITE of this. Not BECAUSE of it.
One of my favourite strengthening exercises for players who have rolled their ankles.
The reverse lunge movement is paired with a resistance band, which the athlete has to overcome in order to resist inversion.
The goal is to keep the lead foot stable.
