@wrytersblockDH Yeah, when pasting it tries its best to parse rich text format but isn't always too successful. Have you tried uploading a file to Docs rather than pasting its contents? Does that have different results?

So when I'm at work or in commute I usually write on Google Docs so I can easily copy and paste it to my local file when I get home.

It gets awkward when GDocs goes down just as you get home. Lovely. Well, just another reason to finally abscond Google for good. #amwriting

Sometimes I feel like my story is a locked wooden box without a key. Other times I come home to find the box wide open as if inviting me to jump in and inspect its inner workings.

I've been trying out the snowflake method lately and there is absolutely no way I'm keeping my character pages to one page. They just wanna talk, man. Pretty sure silencing them would violate the laws of free speech. #amwriting

It's been raining all day. Usually I like the rain, but an entire day without sun is a bit depressing.

@Brianna_daSilva While I'm not exactly going to use a beam balancing exercise in my book, I am strongly considering a similar kind of trial (a magic trial) with a limited number of attempts that my MC exhausts before she realizes what she did wrong.

@Brianna_daSilva ... Long story short, it was a kind of magic trial where I got three attempts to balance on a narrow beam. I failed but realized my error and did it again even though it technically no longer mattered. I did it and the boss had to concede it to me because there'd been spectators.
