My fellow citizens, my family in the Democratic Union - DU,

Thank you.

Thank you to everyone who believed in us, who voted for us, who prayed for us, and who stood with us during the campaigns.

We know it was not easy. You stood with us when there was no promise of reward, only a promise of change. That is true love for this country, and I will never forget it.

We may not have crossed the finish line as we hoped, but because of you, we built a movement and a foundation that will last.

This is not the end. It is the beginning. Let us keep building together the Zambia we all want.

May God bless you and bless Zambia abundantly.

Zambia stands at the edge of transformation. The bees are buzzing, the nectar is flowing, and the honey is waiting. Uchi. Buchi. UbuChi. Linosi. These are not just words—they are a call to action, a call to radical change.

Honey is more than sweetness. It is love, prosperity, healing, purity, and divine favor. It is the promise of a new Zambia.

👉 Ba Youth, Women, and Marketeers:

The jobs you seek are in the honey.
Empowerment is in the honey.
Ending urban poverty is in the honey.
Merit-based promotion in civil service is in the honey.
Freedom of speech is in the honey.
Debt repayment is in the honey.
Transparency is in the honey.
Stronger democratic accountability is in the honey.
But beware: load shedding and selective justice cannot be in the honey.

This is not just a metaphor—it is a manifesto. Bees turn nectar into honey, just as Zambia must turn challenges into blessings. The honey belongs to the people, and the people must claim it.

💡 The Democratic Union carries the honey. The honey carries Zambia.

The time for silence is over. The time for sweetness is now. Zambia must taste transformation.

Dear Professors,

I have noticed that you continue to give our President Hakainde Hichilema accolades but the living standards of our people have not improved. Remember what the US Ambassador said at State House last year telling him that despite vast minerals resources, you have failed to improve the living standards of your people.
This can be confirmed from JCTR reports which show that in 2021, food basket was at K6,500 but today it's at K11,800.

The cost of living is very high.

This has caused alot of mental stress on citizens as evidenced through reports of rising cases at Kitwe Teaching Hospital earlier this year.

We have suffered the worst load shedding in Zambia's history under UPND because ZESCO was exporting 500MW of power according to them. This has led to high levels of unemployment because of the many companies that closed. Raising the number of junkies to unprecedented levels since independence.

The country debt is standing at $29 billion from $14 billion in 2021. The country is borrowing to consume and this is not sustainable. This cannot be termed as good governance or fiscal management.

We have seen increased investment in the mining sector but It has not translated into development in those communities were mining is taking place nor improving the quality of life of the citizens of Zambia.

The civil service is failing to cope with the cost of living which is affecting their performance. You owe them alot of allowances which can provide some relief.

We saw a very bad disaster when it came to paying farmers after forcing them to sale maize to FRA. Your ministers started blaming banks and started accusing them of inefficiency.

Corruption has not been won. We need DEC, ACC, ZP, judiciay and OP to be independent, work without political interference, well funded and motivated staff so that they discharge their duties professionally and effectively. Then there will be no room for selective justice.
FIC reports indicate a rise in illicit funds leaving the country from $800 million in 2021 to $3.5 billion in 2024.

Despite increasing CDF to K40 million, it has failed to provide real empowerment to youths, women and marketeers. It has failed to build the required infrastructure. Only doing well on bursaries.

If an ordinary Zambia has no reason to celebrate, then you haven't done well.
It means we cannot preserve the status quo with salt 🧂 sana.

We need honey to improve the living standards of our people, provide better empowerment that doesn't look at the face of beneficiaries, create more employment opportunities, transparency and accountability in leadership, prioritizing citizens in all investment deals and ensure they benefit from their God given resources.

Following my response to the news that Zambia Airforce (ZAF) is now producing mealie meal, I want to share with you the plans that we have under the Democratic Union-DU on how to utilize the skills and knowledge of the Zambia Air Force. We understand the role of the Airforce is to defend and protect our airspace. We must all appreciate the knowledge, skills and capabilities that the Airforce possesses that is why I was not impressed by the news that they have started producing mealie meal instead of providing technology support.

We all know that Zambia National Service (ZNS) and Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS) are mandated to safeguard and sustain national food security. We have the land and water resources but why are we failing to rump up production and take advantage of the easy market in Zimbabwe, Malawi. Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, DRC, etc. instead we have deployed ZNS to prevent the export of maize thereby denying ourselves the revenue we are supposed to get from exports.

Last time we had our Presidential pavilion turned into a gold market, where was the Airforce, where they busy in the farms?

Ladies and gentlemen, if we are to increase yields in our farms, we must embrace technology as a driving force in agriculture. Today, tractors guided by GPS are already transforming the way we cultivate our land. But when we speak of smart agriculture, we are speaking of a future that demands significant investment. Guided by the manifesto of the Democratic Union, our vision is clear: to expand the agricultural sector by establishing public commercial farms in every district. These farms will not only boost production but will also stand as pillars of food security. To achieve this, they will require strong technological support—support that will be provided by the National Technology and Innovation Corporation, NATIC. Together, we will harness innovation to feed our nation and secure prosperity for generations to come.

NATIC will spearhead the manufacturing of drones to support agriculture and other sectors across our nation. With the expertise and technical knowledge of ZAF, this vision is achievable. Under NATIC, the Aviation and Electronic Wings will be driven by ZAF to ensure effective implementation. In recent times, we have witnessed the destruction of bridges due to flooding, which has disrupted road networks and posed risks to the delivery of essential health services. In such circumstances, drones provide a practical and reliable solution.

We face another critical issue: the Zambia Army, which once produced ammunition in Serenje, has shifted to manufacturing furniture. This represents a misallocation of the specialized skills and knowledge possessed by our men and women in uniform. To harness their full potential, we must strategically reposition our country and ensure that such expertise is directed toward strengthening national security and advancing our broader development goals.

So, when I say we need radical political leadership change, this is what I mean.

Dear Zambians,

Today I address you as a former Soldier, Aviation Engineer and your incoming President.

In a quest to fulfil our vision of building a New Zambia through transformation, I want to provide some detail of what we intend to do to help this country transform and develop. Today my focus is on technology and innovation.

Our transformation agenda will be anchored by 4 Strategic Corporations which we are going to establish in Agriculture (NAFAC), Mining (NARCO), Engineering & Construction (NACEC) and Technology & Innovation (NATIC). These corporations are meant to address the cost-of-living crisis, create employment opportunities and secure natural resources for the benefit and ownership of Zambians.

We will create Technology and Innovation centers for research and development. NATIC will receive its funding of 0.5% from the Chiefdom Development Levy.

Establishment of the office of the Innovation General through an Act of Parliament
The Innovation General will be responsible for
i. driving innovation, developing new ideas, and implementing creative solutions.
ii. Ensure development of innovation hubs and regional data centers through 0.5% funding from Chiefdom Development Fund
iii. Introduce awards for innovation

NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION CORPORATION (NATIC)

Technology & Research Center that integrates Agriculture, Health, Mining, Aviation, Automobile and Electronics.

The center will be a hub of innovation, with specialized wings for each sector, all connected through a central collaborative space.

• Vertical farms with hydroponics and aquaponics systems
• Precision agriculture labs with digital scales and soil analysis equipment
• Greenhouses integrated with renewable energy

Health Wing
• Advanced medical research labs for biotechnology and pharmaceuticals
• Simulation rooms for training healthcare professionals
• Telemedicine and AI-driven diagnostic centers

Mining Wing
• Geological labs with mineral analysis equipment
• Simulation rooms for safe mining practices
• Data centers for resource mapping and sustainability research

Aviation Wing
• Aeronautical research labs with wind tunnels and drone testing areas
• Hangars for experimental aircraft and UAVs
• Flight simulation and pilot training facilities

Automobile Wing
• EV design studios

• smart mobility labs

Electronics Wing
• Semiconductor research,

Central Hub
• Conference halls for international collaboration

When you talk about investment in the mining sector, it must translate to benefit the citizens. The UPND government's handling of Zambia's mining sector isn't benefiting the country to the level we need to. There are too many bad contracts with foreign investors.

The 3m metric tons of copper production by 2030 is a misplaced objective since we don’t own the mines. We are harvesting for other countries to benefit.

Anything not done in national interest should not be supported by patriotic citizens. Bill 7 needs to be withdrawn and a new constitution amendment process started which is driven by the people.
