@WxOntario1 Well that's positive. I have been seeing gusts of 70-90km/h being discussed Wednesday night into Thursday afternoon and it sounded a bit much
@TolentinoTeach It's not post covid. The only significant change in education is we now infect kids once a year with SARS-COV-2. A few hours of reading what the scientific evidence is showing this virus does to kids and it will really explain why schools and teaching aren't the same as 2019
@cocomarvgrows@MarcusShepard I trust the fit and truly love the adjustable straps so I cam get it nice and snug. If I could find it in Canada in black I honestly wouldn't search for another kind. The nose foam can get pinchy at times.
@cocomarvgrows@MarcusShepard I wear this as it's what's school boards in Ontario purchased when they were providing them. I now purchase my own. Only place in Canada I have found is https://t.co/M3Cla75krb and only in white unfortunately. Let me know if you find it in black anywhere.
@greatgreyowls I haven't had an x-ray, and yes I definitely have enthesitis and is my main source of pain. it's much improved after exercise PT but flares up regularly.
@GailVazOxlade Kids have always been absent. 40% being chronic before 2020 is a problem. The increase of 20pts since 2020 is the question that's most important. We have allowed the rampant spread of SARS-COV-2 in schools for 4+ years now, and it is 100% driving this increase.
@oxbits@kadamssl@globalnews 90% attendance per month is the goal. So 60% of high schools kids are missing 2 or more days per month which means they miss over a month of school per year.
@Mr_S_Ont I will add for your consideration that Ontario is not the only place in the world struggling with school attendance. The UK, Australia the US. All of these places vary widely with how they handle education. They have all handled Covid in schools the same however.
@Mr_S_Ont This government sucks, zero debate here. But current policy around covid in and out of schools does not match the very concerning published literature pile that continues to grow. We have alot of evidence from other viruses that acute illness even if mild is not the main concern
@Mr_S_Ont@lilwaynekennedy Of course they aren't. Look I teach secondary and I have keen students regularly missing large chunks of school 3-7 days in a row way more often and it's largely illness related.
@Mr_S_Ont@ONEduTracker Schools are different because we are pretending we don't have rampant spread of a neuroinvasive immune damaging virus. That's the difference.
@Mr_S_Ont@ONEduTracker This is an argument I hear all the time. Parents freaked out when schools were closed at how hard it was managing their kids and their school at home but now they voluntarily keep them out of school at record numbers? Nah I don't buy it. It's covid.
@PeachProof23 SARS-COV-2 is a virus we were told doesn't harm kids. Unfortunately, that is not true, and the impact it can have on the brain is significant. Schools are perfect places for the virus to spread, and as a result, kids are being infected once a year on avg. 2019 can't come back.
@kadamssl We have a public health nurse in my school once a week. I asked them last year if they even talk about Covid when they have meetings and / or in their official communications. They told me they do not, yet we got emails warning us of possible chicken pox exposures. Twilight zone
