@GovMikieSherrill Governor Mikie Sherrill, I want you to read this.
My name is Albert Clements. I'm a retired police officer. My wife Michele and I are full-time caregivers for my brother and sister, both adults with special needs. 24/7/365, Governor Sherrill. There is no change of shift. There is no clocking out. There is no relief coming. It's us, every hour of every day.
I didn't choose this because it was easy. I pulled my brother and sister out of Keystone Community Residential in South Plainfield after I found them living in filth and bugs in those apartments. Abuse and neglect, Governor. That's what the state system gave them.
I tried day programs. DDD day programs. Dreams In Motion put my sister in the back of a hatchback SUV and drove her around all day. All day, Governor Mikie Sherrill. That's their idea of a day program. That's why I refused to put them in any state facility ever again, and that's why they're home with me, where they're safe.
And @miikieSherrill Sherrill, every word of this is documented. I have the photos. I have the records. I have the paperwork. None of this is a story — it's all documented.
So I do the state's job. I keep them out of your facilities. I save this state a fortune. And how does New Jersey repay me, Governor Sherrill?
When we took the caregiving jobs through our support coordination agency, we were promised health insurance. We had it for a year. Then we got pushed off onto the marketplace.
The marketplace quoted us $2,300 a month. We lasted one month. That's my mortgage payment. I can't afford three mortgage payments, Governor. Nobody can.
So now my wife has insurance at $1,000 a month, and I go without. Another $1,250 a month just for me — where is that supposed to come from? I'm in my late 50s, Governor Sherrill, with no health insurance, because the state priced me out.
And let's talk about why, Governor. New Jersey is a sanctuary state. You hand out free health coverage to people who broke the law to get here, and somebody has to pay for it. That somebody is me. That somebody is every working family in this state watching their premiums double and triple while people who never paid a dime into the system get it handed to them.
You want to know why my insurance costs $2,300 a month, Governor Mikie Sherrill? Because the system is flooded. Because Trenton decided illegal immigrants get free coverage and citizens get the bill. I served this state as a police officer. I pay my taxes. I take care of my own family. And your state told me $2,300 or go without.
So I go without. A retired cop in his late 50s with no health insurance in your sanctuary state, Governor Sherrill. If I get sick, who's paying? Me. And when people can't pay, the hospital eats it and jacks everybody else's rates again. Round and round.
And to add insult to injury, Governor — you push me onto an unaffordable marketplace, I can't buy in, and then you penalize me on my taxes for not having insurance. You price me out and then fine me for being priced out. You're doing a great job, Governor.
And we're told there's free coverage for everyone else. How is that fair, Governor Mikie Sherrill? What about the caregivers? What about a retired cop who served this state?
Answer me that, @Govmikiesherril . But everyone knows you won't
Albert Clements

I am looking for help. Because of this Sunrun solar, this ship has been sinking slowly for seven years.
You sold this as an expert design. You are the solar company. You size roofs for a living. That is the pitch.
This was not sized off our electric bills. There were no prior bills in the file. You used an estimate for a house that was not lived in the way it is lived in now, then financed and installed from that estimate. Design kWh is a proposal. Real kWh is the meter.
You are going to tell me that after the first month of bills — let alone years of bills — the experts did not see their own problem?
This started on day one. It is not new. After the first utility bill the sale number and the house number were not the same thing. I complained. I kept complaining. The line I got was that the system was performing as expected. That is the expert talking past the meter.
Now it sits on the seller’s disclosure. An undersized system, seven years of complaints, and the Attorney General file — all of it in writing. That is what a buyer sees. That is why this house cannot be sold at a real price. The resale is broken. I am trapped in a house I cannot sell.
I am a full-time caregiver for my brother and sister. They have special needs. They are in their 50s. This household already has enough on its plate without carrying a seven-year sizing fight on top of that care.
I find it hard to believe you could not see this early — especially after the New Jersey Attorney General consumer process. In January 2022 that process awarded $10,000. The panels stayed. The loan stayed. You used that award as the cheap answer. Every door I knock on now gets sent back to that finding.
This is far over what you try to hide behind $10,000. Ten thousand dollars was not a cure for a system sized wrong from day one. It looked like a get-out-of-jail-free card, and you took it.
You screwed a family. A family with special-needs individuals. A family that cares about people more than this company does.
In 2026 your own position was that the 2019 sizing method was the wrong method. That is not a new discovery. The first bill already showed it.
They undersized the unit. They know it. It took seven years.
I am asking for help. Documents on request. Do not publish street address, account numbers, or loan numbers.

The numbers did not match from the first utility bill. Sale number and house number were not the same thing. I complained. I kept complaining. The line I got was that the system was performing as expected. That is the expert talking past the meter.
You had to have known this before the New Jersey Attorney General consumer process ever opened. After the first month of bills — let alone years of bills — the experts saw their own problem. This started on day one. It is not new.
January 2022: that AG / DCA arbitration (ARB0030-20) awarded $10,000. Read the scope. The panels stayed. The loan stayed. Ten thousand dollars was not a cure for a system sized wrong from day one. It looked like a get-out-of-jail-free card, and you took it. Every door I knock on now gets sent back to that finding.
You settled that piece with knowledge of the larger scheme: an undersized unit, a financed estimate, years of dual bills, and a house that now carries this on the seller’s disclosure. A buyer sees an undersized system, seven years of complaints, and the Attorney General file — all of it in writing. That is why this house cannot be sold at a real price. The resale is broken.
