As a DC resident, I can tell you this is a lie. People were taking walks, sitting on their porches and in the parks, eating at streeteries, and generally celebrating the relief we all felt that some accountability was reached. What we fear is the racism behind this comment.
some of us lead with our hurt, hate and fear and not with our joy and it breaks my heart every time.
we’ve become so preoccupied with suppressing our love, because we lack the language to free ourselves, we continue to oppress ourselves and each other.
Dear self-help guru who posted today "If you won't ACT on it, then you DON'T REALLY believe it:" if you had even a little background in mental health, you'd know there are LOTS of reasons why people can't or don't "act on" things they believe.
But I get it: shame is your brand.
@DrDoyleSays Beauty found me in my chaos. ONLY, because I have been working on my self-love did I notice. Hat-tip to you, contributing to my self-love path!
I was “let go” fired? Yesterday morning... I’m in shock. SHOOK. You can’t count on shit. That’s the extent of the anger. Not fear. Fear, has got me “networking”, letting people know... Then, which is the right direction? Your future life depends on it. Oh yeah, insurance?
Why do we need compassion? Experience tells us that it brings inner strength. It also benefits others and we face many unnecessary problems when we lack it. To understand this we must develop a holistic way of seeing the bigger picture, which means we must use our intelligence.
How others treat you is who they are, not who you are.
How you treat them is who you are, not who they are.
Heal so you stop thinking how they treat you is who you are and what you deserve.
