We're aware of press reports stating that Birmingham parks & open spaces volunteers were told to stand down due to insurance issues. This is not true!

We've worked hard with @BhamCityCouncil and secured the insurance, so volunteers can proceed as normal. The issue was with the brokers, not the Council. All member groups were informed last night.

I'm told that travellers have broken the fencing and moved onto the playing field by Fox Hollies Leisure Centre. I've reported this to the Council's Enforcement team and @AcocksGreenWMP

Another huge thanks to @CoftonNursery for donating the last of their leftover wallflowers & bellis to replace the bedding plants stolen from our new planters. A shopping trolley dumped in @acocksgreenpark was also v useful for the replanting! #generosity #community #greenspaces
