@voooooogel honestly this quirk is great for me. it basically baits me into writing essays and doing a bunch of creative/technical work by being wrong in the correct ways
That โmost important thing in human historyโ monologue from the [big evil california research lab that created the replicating/misremembering object] poisons the memory themes with the most basic bitch commentary regurgitating normie creatives fears surrounding generative AI
The problem is that in Backrooms the memory stuff SHOULDNT be about AI. Liminal space discourse is already massively about memory not AI (official theme of every video essay is everywhere @ end of time) but it feels like hollywood flattened that to trite โAI badโ in backrooms

@DNAisCode@MatthewBerman no and yes. software engineering is not about writing code itโs about requirements definition & system design. jrs will prompt small things and srs will prompt big things. itโs just another abstraction layer
Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed about AI. He fears the permanent underclass.
Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Read Gary Marcus. LLMs are stochastic parrotsโthey can't reason out of distribution."
Man bursts into tears. "But doctor..." he says, "I am in distribution!"
You are a VC doing a walkthrough of a new defense tech startup.
You see a row of Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printers churning out dozens of prototypes for the future of American anti-drone technology.
You see nothing wrong with this setup. You write them a $250k check.
