I think I'm hooked on the slider-map pattern from my hardiness-zones project.... I build another one... 30 years of Penticton from above: drag to compare aerial imagery from 1994 to 2024.

I built a thing: Canada's plant hardiness zones have been in the news lately, and I wanted to make a visualization of how things have changed. Drag the slider, click anywhere to see what shifted where you live.

Cool pop-up convection pattern over the PNW today.
Still working on the lightning strike feature, but radar + lightning is already pretty fun in WxNerd.

Worked on a fun silly feature today...building a weather tour. I'm not sure if this would ship, but it's fun to play around with.

@GregorySchier I guess entering the card is the hard part for some people that don't have autofill? I wonder if you could implement using their phone's camera to take a picture of the card somehow?
Just finished a first pass at my paywall using @RevenueCat's paywall builder. It was my first time trying it out and a great experience overall. I think it's still a bit too wordy, but it's not a bad start. Looks like I'll be able to submit this app in time for the #shipathon.

Over the last couple months, I've been working on an iOS weather app. It’s been really fun and creative getting back into iOS and SwiftUI. It's still early days, but it's starting to come together. Here’s where it’s at so far.

I haven’t had to do much yet. Using stock components makes things pretty easy, and I get a lot for free. I’ve been playing around with making the UI look more glassy, even without iOS 26. That part’s been fun. I'm going to launch before iOS 26, so I don't want to design to change much at launch when it comes out.
