Honoured to attend the presentation of Fusilier Dennis Donnini VC’s medal to The Royal Highland Fusiliers Museum in my role as Armed Forces Champion for Glasgow City Council.

Dennis Donnini was just 19 years old when he received the Victoria Cross for extraordinary bravery during the Second World War.

It was deeply moving to see his family entrust this medal to the museum, where his story and sacrifice will be preserved for future generations.

“This story isn’t just his; it’s everybody’s.”
